As you may or may not know, I became Allison M. Boot on October 15th 2016. Today, I thought I’d write a little blog about the story behind my wedding rings which are pictured in this post. Shortly after Just the Way You Are was published  in November 2015, my husband took a copy of the book to our local jewelry store in Champaign Urbana Illinois and have them design a ring based on the one described in the book that Derrick gave to Misty when he proposed. How sweet is that? As you can see from the picture, I picked out a butterfly wedding band to match it and he went with a simple white gold band. I should note the in this picture all three of our rings are placed on the paw of our black lab, Murdock, who inspired Misty service dog, Dex, in Just the Way You Are. Do you like my wedding rings?
